#470 09-03-68 Approve Concrete Curb Gutter 68-CG-21Resolution No. 470 September 3, 1968 MOVED its adoption: Member Bies introduced the following resolution and Clerk RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES 429.O41, SUBD. 7 (Proposed Concrete Curb and Gutter - 68 CG 21) WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for proposed concrete curb and gutter construction and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the village Council of the Village of Golden Valley: 1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 2. WHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into on August 19, 1968, with Suburban Paving, Inc., for public improvements 68 BS 21, 68 BS 24, 68 BS 31, and 68 CG 18, E.$ CG 19, and 68 CG 20, and awarded on a unit price basis with a total contract price of $80,677.70; and WHEREAS, on August 19, 1968, the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley did order construction of proposed public improvement 68 CG 21; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid improvement 68 CG21 does not, on the same price basis, exceed 25% of the original contract price; The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to change the contract of August 19, 1968, with Suburban Paving, Inc., for 68 BS 24, 68 BS 21, 68 BS 31, and 68 CG 18, 68 CG 19, and 68 CG 20, so as to include the additional units of work at the same unit price providing for the construction of public improvement 68 CG 21 when the said con- tractor shall have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the additional work as required by law. Mayor Attest: Village Clerk 1 Resolution No. 470 September 3, 1968 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Carlson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Carlson, Garis, and Stockman; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1 1
