#486 10-08-68 Adopt Tax Levy Collectible in 1969Resolution No. 486 October 8, 1968
Member Garis introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR 1969 AND
ESTABLISHING THE VILLAGE PROPERTY TAX LEVY
FOR 1968 COLLECTIBLE IN 1969
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 412.701 and
►12.711 the Village Manager has prepared the estimates for the annual budget
for 1969 and has presented such estimates to the Council for their approval,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. That such estimates as amended by the Council be approved and
adopted as the budget for 1969.
2. That the Village Manager is authorized and directed to enforce
all provisions of said budget.
3. That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to advise the
County Auditor that the Village of Golden Valley requests the Auditor to
raise the sum of $939,388 through real and personal property taxes for
general purposes, plus the sum of one tenth mill for Fire Department
Relief Association, one tenth mill for Poor Relief, $13,366 for the Library
fund, and $80,199 for Watermain Construction and to further advise that the
above sum includes the necessary levy for Public Employees Retirement
Association and that the per capita excise tax monies have been taken into
consideration and have not been included in the amount requested above.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resoslution was duly seconded
by Member Carlson and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Carlson, Garis, Stockman, Teresi; and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Village Clerk.
