Member Garis introduced and read the following resolution:
RESOLUTION
Street Right -of -Way Vacations
Portion of Western and Flagg Avenues
WHEREAS, a Petition of the majority of the
owners of real property adjacent to the streets described below
has been duly filed with the Village Council and said Council
has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly pub-
lished and has heard all interested persons, and
it appearing that in the interest of the public certain portions
of said public streets be vacated,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village
of Golden Valley that the portions of the public streets lying
within the corporate limits of said Village as described below,
as the same are now laid out and dedicated within the said limits
of the said Village, be, and the same now are, hereby vacated:
That part of Western Avenue from County Road 18 to the
East line of the West one-half of Section 31, Township 118,
Range 21, consisting of the North 40 feet of the Northwest
one-quarter (NW 1/4) of the Northwest one-quarter (NW 1/4)
of Section 6, Township 117, Range 21, and the South 40 feet
of the Southwest one-quarter (SW 1/4) of the Southwest one-
quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 31, Township 118, Range 21, and
the North 30 feet of the Northeast one-quarter (NE 1/4) of
the Northwest one-quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 6, Township 117,
Range 21; except that part taken and filed for record on
Doc. No. 3584650 in Book 2530 of Deeds, Page 29, dated
December 30, 1965, and on Document No. 3584651 in Book 2531
of Deeds, Page 21, dated December 30, 1969;
and
That part of Flag Avenue lying North of U.S. Highway No. 12
(also known as Wayzata Boulevard), consisting of the West
30 feet of the east one-half (E 1/2) of the Northwest one-
quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 6, Township 117, Range 21.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded
by Member Stockman and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Carlson, Garis, Stockman and Teresi,; and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Clerk.
