Member Stockman introduced and read the following written resolution and
MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Bituminous Surfacing - 69 BS 15,
Proposed Concrete Curb and Gutter - 69 CG 9,
and Proposed Watermain - 69 WM 6)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws
of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain
proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in
the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council
advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public
improvements are feasible and that they should best be made
as proposed and not in connection with some other improve-
ments, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements
as follows:
$25,564.62
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in
the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the
purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public
improvements as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the
time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for'
two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official
newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to
be in the issue of said paper dated June 5, 1969, and the last
of said publications to be in the issue dated June 12, 1969.
Such notice shall be substantially as in the attached form.

IMPROVEMENTS FOR 69 Watermain 6, 69 CG 9, 69 BS 15
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 17, 1969, at 8:00 P.M.
CDST IN THE Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road,
in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed
public improvements.
The type of improvements, areas where said improvements will be constructed
and which they serve, and the estimated costs are as follows;

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed
improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted
by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is
proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above descript-
ion, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on
streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and rail-
road rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above
described streets,.lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas
and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified
to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to
such proposed public improvements, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Carlson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Carlson, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following
voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by
the Clerk.
