#059 08-05-69 Approve Agreement Sanitary Sewer Force Main CapacityResolution No. 59 August 5, 1969
Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Providing for Joint Agreement on Sanitary Sewer Force Main
Capacity Serving Plymouth, Golden Valley and New Hope)
WHEREAS, the Village of Plymouth by Resolution 69-227 has agreed to
furnish additional capacity, in a trunk force main to be constructed along T.H.
#55 from Plymouth to Minneapolis,
WHEREAS, said additional capacity is contitioned on agreement by
Golden Valley and Nw Hope to reimburse Plymouth for costs and expenses attrib-
utable to the enlargement of the force main fru.a Rhode Island Avenue eastward
to Minneapolis, and
WHEREAS, New -Hope sewage discharged into the Golden V-,lley system
has been planned for routing to and through the Plymouth force main; Now
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Golden Valley concurr in
Resolution 69-227, -)dopted by Plymouth and agree to pay a fair share for the
enlargement of the force main attributable to Golden Valley flow provided New
Hope takes like action in reference to the New Hope flow.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Metro Sewer Board be requested to
consider the joint New Hope, Golden Valley sanitary Trunk from Medicine Lake
Road southerly to T.H.#55 and Rhode Island as a part of the Metro trunk sewer
system and make arrangements for the completion of said trunk sewer construction
in accordance with the planning of consulting engineers Orr-Schelen-Mayeron &
Associates.

The motion for the adoption of the foregcing resolution was duly secor&d by
Member Garis, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted
against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed
and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village
Clerk.
