Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES
PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES 429.041, SUBD. 7
Proposed Concrete Curb & Gutter - 69 -CG -18, 19
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and spec-
ifications for the above proposed public improvement construction and
has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its ap-
proval, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley:
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. WHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into on July 15,
1969, with Cedar Concrete Company, Inc., for public improvements 69 -CW -
2, 69 -CG -1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11 and awarded on a unit price basis
with a total contract price of $32,137.50; and
WHEREAS, on September 16, 1969, the Village Council of the
Village of Golden Valley did order construction of proposed public im-
provement proposed Concrete Curb and Gutter - 69 -CG -18, 19; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid improvement 69 -CG -18, 19 does not,
on the same price basis, exceed 25% of the original contract price;
The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to
change the contract of July 15, 1969, with Cedar Concrete Company, Inc.,
for 69 -CW -2, 69 -CG -1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11, so as to include the
additional units of work at the same unit price providing for the con-
struction of public improvement 69 -CG -18, 19 when the said contractor
shall have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the addi-
tional work as required by law.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Stockman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Bies, Jensen, Stockman, and Teresi; and the fol-
lowing voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared
duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested
by the Clerk.
