Member Stockman introduced and read the following written resolution and
MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
Proposed Residential Street Lighting - 69 RSL 19A
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public
improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in
Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with
some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements
as follows:
$1,830.60
3. The Council shall neet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper of the Village, the first
of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated September 4, 1969,
and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated September 11, 1969.
Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form.

PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of the Village
of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on December 15, 1969,
at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley
Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed
public improvements.
The Type of improvement areas where said improvements will be constructed and
which they serve and the estimated cost are as follows: $1,830.60. All prop-
erties abutting the following streets:
Quebec Avenue from Minn. Western R.R., to Olympia Street
Pennsylvania Avenue from Country Club Drive to Olympia Street.
Rhode Island Avenue from Golden Valley Road to Minn. Western R.R.
Rhode Island Avenue from Knoll Street to Olympia Street.
Sumter Avenue from Faribault Street to Olympia Street
Winnetka Avenue from Golden Valley Road to Olympia Street

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed
improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority
granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements as
set forth in the above description, including all property within the des-
cribed areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and in-
cluding all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public prop:
erty located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or
lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hear-
ing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements,
if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Garis and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow-
ing voted in favor thereof: Bies, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Clerk.
