#111 01-19-70 Provide Hearing Improvements 69-SS-1Resolution No. 111 January 19, 1970 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Proposed Storm Sewer - 69 SS 1) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $832,127.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated January 21, 1970, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated January 28, 1970. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER - 69 ss 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on February 2, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Raod, in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of this improvement will be $832,427.00. Auditors Subdivision No. 322; thence North along the West line of said Lot 11 to the centerline of Country Club Drive (formerly 6th Avenue North); thence West along said centerline 157.0 feet; thence Northwesterly to the point of beginning In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
