#120 03-16-70 Approve Wages Local 49 Union175 Resolution No. 120 March 16, 1970 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (SETTING 1970 WAGES AND BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY LOCAL 49 INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS) WHEREAS, The Village has through its representative, the Village Manager, and the Metropolitan Area Management Association, negotiated in good faith with Local 49, International Union of Operating Engineers, representing members of the Street, Park and Utility Departments (other than supervisory and temporary employees) for 1970 wages, and WHEREAS, The Local 49 and management bargaining committee did, after meeting with the State Labor Conciliator, obtain agreement on wages and working conditions, and WHEREAS, A majority of communities at both the Union and Council level have agreed to and implemented the settlement, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Council approve and implement the settlement as follows: WAGES: Light Equipment Operator $708/mo. Heavy Equipment Operator $778/mo. Other classifications at the same relation to these bench mark positions as held in 1969. HOSPITAL & INSURANCE: That the Personnel Resolution on insurance benefits shall not apply to the employees negotiated for by Local 49 but in lieu thereof the Village shall pay 100% of the premium for hospital -medical -surgical insurance for the employee himself. IMPLEMENTATION: The Village Treasurer is authorized to issue the March 22 paychecks on this basis and to refigure the period of January 1 to March 9 on the basis that the settlement had been effective January 1, making all wages and benefits retroactive to that date. Further, That the Council has no objection to payroll withholding, upon proper action by the individual employee, for hospital -medical dependent coverage or life insurance lm m the employee's pay. 176 Resolution No. 120 Mayor Attest: ' Village Clerk March 16, 1970 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Jensen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Bies, Jensen, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1
