#137A 05-04-70 Provide Hearing Improvements 70-RSL-30Resolution No. 137 A. 207 May 4, 1970 Member Paulson introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Residential Street Lighting) (70 -RSL -30) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to con- struct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not inconnection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $180.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purporp of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said said paper dated May 13, 1970, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated May 20, 1970. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT 70 -RSL -30 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 1, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. CDST in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a proposed public improvement. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvement will be $180.00. The type of improvement and the areas where said improvements 208 Resolution No. 137A. May 4, 1970 will be constructed and which they serve are as follows:. 70 RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTING 30 The intersections of Olympia Street at Louisiana Avenue, Maryland Avenue, Kelly Drive and Oregon Avenue. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the.Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all property and ratiroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the streets of lines described above, at said public hearing and to make areas and abutting upon the are hereby notified to be present known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
