Member Jensen introduced and read the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Petitioning the State of Minnesota Public Service
Commission for at -grade crossings on Tenth Avenue North)
WHEREAS, the Village of Golden Valley desires to complete the con-
struction of and open for vehicular and pedestrian traffic Tenth Avenue North;
and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid roadway is needed to provide access to the sur-
rounding area; and
'�HERZAS, said roadway would necessitate crossing the Chicago North-
western Railway (formerly Minneapolis Industrial Railway) railroad tracks at
several points between the Northwesterly terminus of Tenth Avenue North with
County Road 18, and the Southeasterly intersection of said Tenth Avenue North
with Boone Avenue, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 219, it hereby petitions
the Public Service Commission for the State of Minnesota for approval of con-
struction of three (3) at -grade crossings for the aforesaid Tenth Avenue North
across the railroad tracks of the Chicago Northwestern Railway between the
Northwesterly terminus of said Tenth Avenue North at County Road 18 and the
Southeasterly intersection of said Tenth Avenue North with Boone Avenue, said
three (3) corssings consisting of the following:
(a) An at -grade crossing of the privately owned double spur
tracks serving the Rauenhorst Corportaion-Illsbury building
located on the Northeasterly side of said Tenth Avenue North.
(b) An at -grade crossing of the main spur line owned by the said
Chicago -Northwestern Railway and presently located in the
aforesaid vicinity.
(c) An at -grade corssing of the privately owned spur track serv-
ing the commercial building known and described as the Dairy
Queen facility, and located Easterly of the spur line described
in (b) above.
All according to composite maps more particularly showing the location of said
at -grade crossings made a part hereof and to be filed with the aforesaid Public
Service Commission;
RESOLVED FURTHER that likewise pursuant to said Minnesota Statutes
Chanter 219 the aforesaid Public Service Commission is hereby requested to
establish and direct the appropriate protective signal devices to be installed
at each of the above described crossings.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Stockman, and upon vote being taken thereon the following members voted in
favor thereof: Bies, Jensen, Paulson, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following
voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the
Village Clerk.
