#185 10-05-70 Approve Construction 70-SI-28, Etc278 Resolution No. 185 October 5, 1970 Member Bies introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING MANNER OF CONSTRUCTION (70 -SI -28, 70 -LF -7, 70-wM-7) WHEREAS, The Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the above proposed public improvement construction and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley: 1. That all of such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 2. That with respect to all of the public improvements referenced above, excepting therefrom only those noted below, the Village Clerk shall pre- pare an Advertisement for Bids for making such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by statute, shall specify the work to be done and shall state the time and place that the bids shall be opened and considered by the Village Manager and Village Clerk. 3. That there is hereby excepted from the force and effect, of the foregoing resolution the following public improvements: None. 4. That as respects the following public improvements: (70 -SI -28) it is hereby found and determined that the Village of Golden Valley has suff- icient equipment to carry on the work necessary for said improvements. It is hereby directed that said equipment be used for said work and that the approp- riate funds shall be charged for the use of said equipment and the reasonable rental value thereof as the cost of said work, and the Village Engineer shall keep an accurate record and account of the use and rental of said equipment and of materials used. and of work done and shall include it on any and all re- ports on the cost of work done by day labor under the provisions of the reso- lution. Therefoae, the Village Engineer shall. proceed under the direction of the Village Manager to carry on all work in connection with said improvement, in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinabove approved. That as respects the following public improvements;/ the same does not, on the same price basis, exceed twenty-five percent (25%) of the original contract price of that certain contract entered into on , 19 , with for public improvements awareded on a unit price asis with a total contract amount of Therefore, the Mayor and the Village Manager are hereby authorized tochange the contract of 19 , with for public improvements so as to include the additional units of work at the same unit price providing for the construction of public improvements when the said contractor shall have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the additional work as required by law.
