#186 10-05-70 Adopt Budget and Tax Levy280 Resolution No. 186 October 5. 1970 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR 1971 AND ESTABLISHING THE VILLAGE PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR 1970 COLLECTIBLE IN 1971 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1112.701 and 1112.711, the Village Manager has prepared the estimates for the annual budget for 1971 and has presented such estimates to the Council for their consideration, AND WHEREAS, the Village Council has reviewed such estimates and made certain adjustments thereto, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following appropriations for 1971 expenditures are hereby made. That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to advise the County Auditor that the Village of Golden Valley requests the Auditor to raise the sum of $1,304,890 through real and personal property taxes for general purposes, plus the sum of one tenth mill for the Fire Department Relief Assoc- ication and the sum of $1.08,000 for Trunk Watermain Construction and to further advise the Auditor that the above sum includes the necessary levy for Public Employees Retirement Association and that the per capita excise tax monies have been taken into consideration and have not been included' in the amount requested above. 3.
