Member Paulson introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED
its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Rescinding Resolution Number - Respecting Sidwalk Bond Election)
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley at its
regular meeting on August 17, 1970, enacted a resolution determining the ne-
cessity and expediency of issuing sidewalk bonds and directing that the question
of their issuance be submitted at a regular Village election to be held on
Tuesday, the 8th day of December, 1970; and
WHEREAS, it is now hereby found and dtermined that it would be in the
best interests of the entire Village were the aforesaid prouosition to be placed
before the voters of the Village of Golden Valley at a later date than that
originally scheduled, as noted hereinabove, in order to allow for more public
discussion and debate respecting said proposed bond issue; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village
of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, that Resolution Number 175 adopted
by this Council
on August 17,
1970, respecting a sidewalk bond election, is
hereby revoked
and rescinded in
its entirety; provided however that it is the
expressed intent
of the Council
that the matter of submitting the question of
the issuance of
.general obligation
bonds to finance construction of sidewalks within the Village
shall again be
considered by the Council during early 1971.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Jensen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Bies, Jensen, Paulson, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against
the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
