#219 02-01-71 Consent Dissolution Suburban Sewer Commission6 Resolution No. 219 February 1, 1971 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO DISSOLUTION OF SUBURBAN SANITARY SEWER COMMISSION WHEREAS, this municipality entered into a joint and cooperative agreement for the establishment of the Suburban Sanitary Sewer Commission, during the year 1963, and WHEREAS, such commission has accomplished its purposes, and WHEREAS, sanitary sewage disposal facilities are now owned by and are the responsibility of the Metropolitan Sewer Board, and WHEREAS, there appears to be no reason for the continuance of the Suburban Sanitary Sewer Commission, and WHEREAS, such commission has funds remaining on hand contributed by its members, including this municipality; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. This municipality herewith gives its consent to the dissolution of the Suburban Sanitary Sewer Commission, contingent upon consent to such dissolution by all other members of the commission. 2. Such consent shall be effective as soon as consent of all other members of the commission has been received by the chairman of the commission. 3. Upon receipt of such consent by all member municipalities the officers of the commission are authorized and directed to return all unexpended funds of the commission to the munici- palities which have been members, on a pro rata basis, in proportion to contributions made by them. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Paulson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Bies, Paulson, Stockman, and nstad; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
