#280 10-04-71 Adopt Budget Tax Levy for 1971Resolution No. 280 October 4, 1971 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR 1972 AND ESTABLISHING THE VILLAGE PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR 1971 COLLECTIBLE IN 1972 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 412.701 and 412.711, the Village Manager has prepared the estimates for the annual budget for 1972 and has presented such estimates to the Council for their consideration, AND WHEREAS, the Village Council has reviewed such estimates and made certain adjustments thereto, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following appropriations for 1972 expenditures are hereby made. That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to advise the County Auditor that the Village of Golden Valley requests the Auditor to raise the sum of $1,556,178 through real and personal property taxes for general purposes, plus the sum of one tenth mill for the Fire Department Relief Association and the sum of $113,700 for Trunk Watermain Construction and to further advise the Auditor that the above sum includes the necessary levy for Public Employees Retirement Association and that the per capita excise tax monies have been taken into consideration and have not been included in the amount requested above. 3. That the Village Manager is authorized and directed to enforce all provisions of said budget. Attest: Village Clerk Mayor 1 L" � Resolution No. 280 October 4, 1971 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Ulstad, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Hoover, Stockman, Teresi, and Ulstad; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 3
