Member Ulstad introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Establishing a Special Police Fund)
WHEREAS Laws 1971, Chapter 695, establishing an aid program to local
police departments requires that a special police fund be established to
receive the aid apportioned to the local municipality;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the Village
of Golden Valley hereby establishes a SPECIAL POLICE FUND for the purposes
of receiving and accounting for State Aid to Police Departments, and such
other funds as the Council may appropriate thereto in accordance with the
Statutes of the State of Minnesota.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Paulson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted
in favor thereof: Hoover, Paulson, Riggs, Stockman & Ulstad, and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Village Clerk.
