#340 03-06-72 Support Proposed Westwood Hills Environmental Education Center176 Resolution No. 340 March 6, 1972 Member Hoover introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SUPPORT AND COOPERATION WITH ST. LOUIS PARK ON THE PROPOSED WESTWOOD HILLS ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER WHEREAS, St. Louis Park has proposed an Environmental. Education Center centered around Westwood Lake, adjacent to Golden Valley, and WHEREAS, this project will affect land within Golden Valley; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. Golden Valley encourages St. Louis Park in their development of an Environmental Education Center as a needed facility within the area. 2. Golden Valley agrees to cooperate by including within or transferring to St. Louis Park the property presently owned by the Village within Golden Valley adjacent to the proposed Environmental Education Center for inclusion in the proposed Westwood Hills En- vironmental Education Center. 3. Golden Vally proposed to designate all lands within the pro- posed Environmental Education Center which are within Golden Valley, but are not now owned by Golden Valley as natural areas on its official map. 4. Golden Valley proposes to work with any future development adjacent to the Environmental Education Center to insure to the best of its ability that it will be compatible with the Environmental Education Center development.
