Member Paulson introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING MANNER OF CONSTRUCTION
(72 - SS - 4)
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for
the above proposed public improvement construction and has presented such plans
and specifications to the Council for its approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley:
1. That all of such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. That with respect to all of the public improvements referenced above,
excepting therefrom only those noted below, the Village Clerk shall prepare
an Advertisement for Bids for making such improvements under such approved
plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required
by statute, shall specify the work to be done and shall state the time and
place that the bids shall be opened and considered by the Village Manager and
Village Clerk.
3. That there is hereby excepted from the force and effect of the
foregoing resolution the following public improvement(s):
None
4. That as respects the following public improvement(s):
None
it is hereby found and determined that the Village of Golden Valley has
sufficient equipment to carry on the work necessary for said improvements.
It is hereby directed that said equipment be used for said work and that the
appropriate funds shall be charged for the use of said equipment and the
reasonable rental value thereof as the cost of said work, and the Village
Engineer shall keep an accurate record and account of the use and rental of
said equipment and of materials used and of work done and shall include it on
any and all reports on the cost of work done by day labor under the provisions
of the resolution. Therefore, the Village Engineer shall proceed under the
direction of the Village Manager to carry on all work in connection with said
improvement, in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinabove
approved.
5. That as respects the following public improvement(s):
None
the same does not, on the same price basis, exceed twenty-five percent (25%)
of the original contract price of that certain contract entered into on

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Stockman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Hoover, Paulson, Riggs, Stockman, and Ulstad; and
the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared
duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by
the Clerk.
