#397 08-07-72 Order Construction Improvement 72-WM-8,9s MIM Resolution No. 397 August 7, 1972 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 72 WM 8 and 72 NM 9 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That at a public hearing held on this day at 7:30 P.M., at the address of 7800 Golden Valley Road in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, after notice of said hearing duly published as required by law, this Council has con- sulted the view of all persons interested, and, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of certain proposed public improvements for the said Village, in accordance with the des- cription of said improvements contained in said notice, except as follows: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 72 SI 112 12; 72 WM 819; 72 LF 425,62 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on August 7, 1972 at 7:30 P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer's estimated costs, the type of improvements, areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they will serve is as follows: Street Improvement 72 SI II On Knoll Street from Jersey Avenue to Louisiana Avenue 72 SI 12 Plymouth Avenue Jersey Avenue Louisiana Avenue Total estimated cost $18,571.42 WATERMAIN 72 WM 8 On Knoll Street from Jersey Avenue to Louisiana Avenue 72 WM 9 Plymouth Avenue Jersey Avenue Louisiana Avenue Total estimated Cost $15,982.16 SANITARY SEWER 72 LF u On Knoll Street from Jersey Avenue to Louisiana Avenue 72 LF 5 Winscdale Street Jersey Avenue Louisiana Avenue 72 LF 6 Plymouth Avenue Jersey Avenue Louisiana Avenue Total estimated cost $ 61264.72 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. 2619 Resolution No. 397 August 7, 1972 All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above des- cription, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be. It is hereby found and determined that said public improvements are feasible and can best be constructed as set forth in said report and not in connection with some other improvements. (The Council reserves the right to consolidate said improvements with other public improvements if it seems advisable to do so.) 3. The cost of said improvements shall be paid in part out of special assessments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing. 4. The Village Engineer is hereby designated as engineer for the con- struction of said proposed public improvements, and is hereby authorized, ordered and instructed to prepare final plans and specifications for said improvements and submit the same to the Village Council for approval at the earliest possible date. i Mayor 17 Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Hoover, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Hoover, Riggs, and Stockman; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
