#409 09-05-72 Urge Met Council Traffic Impact Domed Stadium29 Resolution No. 409 September 5, 1972 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (Urging the Metropolitan Council to Consider Traffic Impact of a Domed Stadium Construction in Minneapolis) WHEREAS, The City of Minneapolis is evaluating the construction of a domed stadium, and WHEREAS, Such construction will result in concentrated heavy traffic on numerous corridors and arterial streets through the western suburbs, and WHEREAS, The decision-making and traffic would have effect on many municipalities, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Village of Golden Valley does urge the Metropolitan Council to enlist the cooperation of the City of Minneapolis, the Metropolitan Transit Commission and the State Highway Department in evaluating the impact of this traffic on the western suburbs. ` Mayor Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Hoover, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Hoover, Paulson, Riggs, Stockman and Ulstad, and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
