Member Paulson introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Restricting Parking - Winnetka Avenue,
Plymouth Avenue and Olympia Street)
WHEREAS, the Village Council has the power and authority, pursuant to
Section 700:199.34 Subdivision 39, of the Village Code, to designate no
parking zones and areas, and it appears that no parking at any time zone
should be created on the following portions of Winnetka Avenue, Plymouth
Avenue and Olympia Street, within the Village of Golden Valley;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council for the Village
of Golden Valley that no parking shall be permitted at any time on either side
of Winnetka Avenue from its intersection with Trunk Highway #55 on the south
to Medicine Lake Road on the north;
RESOLVED FURTHER, by the Village Council for the Village of Golden Valley
that no parking shall be permitted at any time on either side of Plymouth
Avenue from its intersection with Winnetka Avenue on the east and thence
westerly for a distance of 200 feet;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that no parking shall be permitted at any time on
either side of Olympia Street from its intersection with Winnetka Avenue
on the west to its intersection with Sumter Avenue on the east;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the effect and enforcement of the above described
parking prohibitions shall be stayed until there has been commenced the con-
struction of semaphore traffic control signals at the intersection of
Winnetka Avenue and Plymouth Avenue and at the intersection of Winnetka
Avenue and Olympia Street, pursuant to Agreement PW -23-13-72 between the
Village of Golden Valley and the County of Hennepin.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by
Member Ulstad, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereof: Hoover, Paulson, Riggs, Stockman, and Ulstad; and the following
voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the
Village Clerk.
