#434 10-16-72 Participate Federal Rent Supplement ProgramResolution No. 434 October 16, 1972 Member Hoover introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (PROVIDING PARTICIPATION BY THE VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY, MINNESOTA IN. THE FEDERAL RENT SUPPLEMENT PROGRAM FOR DERLY HOUSING IN DOVER HILL - PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT NUMBER EIGHT) WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 101 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1965, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to enter into contracts to make Rent Supplement payments to certain qualified housing owners on behalf of qualified low income families who are elderly, handicapped, displaced, victims of natural disaster, occupants of sub -standard housing; and WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 101 cannot be made available to housing owners in certain localities unless the governing body of the locality has by resolution, given approval for such participation in the Federal Rent Supplement program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota; Approval is hereby granted for participation in the Federal Rent Supplement program to Dover Hill Company for the 122 unit, 7 story elderly building located in the Dover Hill development located in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota. Mayor Attest: 1 Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Ulstad and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Hoover, Paulson, Riggs, Stockman, and Ulstad; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Acting Village Clerk.
