Member Ulstad introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
RSL -48
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. That at a public hearing held on this day at P.M., at the
address of 7800 Golden Valley Road in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota,
after notice of said hearing duly published as required by law, this Council
has consulted the view of all persons interested, and, being fully advised of
the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of
certain proposed public improvements for the said Village, in accordance with
the description of said improvements contained in said notice, except as follows:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON
PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
FOR RSL 48
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on December 4, 1972, at 7:30 P.M. in the
Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village,
for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improvements.
The improvement is Residential Street Lighting; the total estimated cost is
$378.00, and the area where said improvement will serve is as follows:
RSL 48 - Angelo Drive from Toledo Avenue to Thotland Road
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed
improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority
granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Laws of 1969, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is pro-
posed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above descrip-
tion, including all property within the described area and/or abutting on
streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and
railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above
described streets, lines and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines
described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to
make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.

2. It is hereby found and determined that said public improvements are
feasible and can best be constructed as set forth in said report and not in
connection with some other improvements. (The Council reserves the right to
consolidate said improvements with other public improvements if it seems
advisable to do so.)
3. The cost of said improvements shall be paid in part out of special
assessments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing.
4. Northern States Power Company is hereby designated to construct said
proposed public improvements.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Paulson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Hoover, Paulson, Riggs, Stockman, and Ulstad; and
the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature
attested by the Clerk.
