#477 02-05-73 Provide Hearing Improvement 73-SI-31 1 1 Resolution No. 477 February 5, 1973 Member Bix introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 73 -SI -3 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $14,093.24 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated February 21, 1973, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated February 28, 1973. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR 73 W 2, 73 SI 2, & 3. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Monday, March 5, 1973 at 7:30 P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer's estimated costs, the type of improvements, the areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they will serve are as follows: WA.TERMAIN 73 WM 2 On Duluth Street, from Ensign Avenue to Gettysburg Avenue $7,979.21 STREET IMPROVEMENTS 73 SI 2 - Concrete curb and gutter - On the North side of Country Club Drive, from Rhode Island Avenue North to the East line of Lot 7, Schuller's Addition; Resolution No. 477 February 5, 1973 On the South side of Country Club Drive from Glenwood Avenue to the East line of Lot 7, Schuller's Addition; On Glenwood Avenue, from Country Club Drive to Ellis Lane $17,731.05 73 SI 3 -Grading & Gravelling - On Duluth Street from Ensign Avenue to Flag Ave. $14,093.24 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 129, Minnesota Laws of 1969, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is pro- posed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
