#497 03-19-73 Provide Hearing Improvement 73-LF-340 Resolution No. 497 March 19, 1973 Member Hoover introduced the following resolution and LVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 73 -LF -3 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $162,123.36 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 25, 1973s and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated May 2, 1973. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 73 LF 3; 73 SI 51 6, 7, & 8 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on May 7, 1973s at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer's estimated costs, the type of improvements, the areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they will serve are as follows: SANITARY SEWER 73 LF 3 - All that part of the Southwest one-quarter of the Northwest one- quarter of Section 30, Township 118, Range 21, lying North of Lakeview Heights, along with the Northwest one-quarter of the Northwest one-quarter of said Section 30 except therefrom that part lying North of Medley Hills 2nd Addition and East of the Northerly extension of the West line of Medley Hills 2nd Addition; Along with Park in Block 1 and Lot 3, Block 2, All in Millers Meadows; and also Outlot 2, Medley Hills 2nd Addition. $162,123.36 1 1 1 1 1 Resolution No. 497 March 19, 1973 GRADING & GRAVELING: CONCRETE CURB & GUTTER AND BITUMINOUS SURFACING 73 SI 5 - On Boone Avenue from T H 55 to Plymouth Avenue $175060.20 73 SI 7 - Broggers Circle $ 52998.52 CONCRETE CURB & GUTTER AND BITUMINOUS SURFACING 73 SI 8 - On Plymouth Avenue from Jersey Avenue to the West line of Lot 320, Belmont $ 3,492.16 CONCRETE CURB; and gutter 73 SI 6 - On Sumter Avenue from Winnetka Heights Drive to Duluth Street $ 6,513.17 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Laws of 1969 as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
