Member Bix introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Granting Leave of Absence
to Ronald Pavlock)
WHEREAS, Ronald Pavlock, a Public Safety employee of the Village of
Golden Valley, has requested a leave of absence, and
WHEREAS, He has worked nine years as a good and faithful employee, and
WHEREAS He has received a major award from the Bush Foundation under the
Bush Leadership Fellows Program for advanced study, and
WHEREAS, The Village Council wishes to cooperate with the employee and
Bush Foundation in promoting such education and enrichment of experience while
protecting the job rights of Ronald Pavlock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Village Council grant a ten
month leave of absence without pay, from August 1, 1973 to June 1, 1974 with
the following benefits:
(1) The Village will pay 100% of the primary and dependent
medical insurance coverage during the leave.
(2) Upon presentation of receipts, the Village will pay books
and tuition that are not paid by the Bush Foundation, up
to a maximum of $1,200.
(3) Other than the above, during the leave of absence no fringe
benefits, leave accrual or seniority shall be earned or paid.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Moberg, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Bix, Hoover, Moberg, Riggs, and Ulstad; and the following
voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the
Village Clerk.
