Member Hoover introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR 1974 AND
ESTABLISHING THE VILLAGE PROPERTY TAX LEVY
FOR 1973 COLLECTIBLE IN 1974
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 412.701 and
412.711, the Village Manager has prepared the estimates for the annual budget
for 1974 and has presented such estimates to the Council for their consideration,
AND WHEREAS, the Village Council has reviewed such estimates and made
certain adjustments thereto,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following appropriations for 1974 expenditures are hereby
made.

2. That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to advise the County
Auditor that the Village of Golden Valley requests the Auditor to raise the sum
of $1,260,881 through real and personal property taxes collectible in 1974 for
general purposes, and to further advise the Auditor that the above sum includes
the necessary levy for Public Employees Retirement Association and that the per

3. That the Village Manager is authorized and directed to enforce all
provisions of said budget.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Moberg, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted
in favor thereof: Bix, Hoover, Moberg, Riggs, and Ulstad; and the following
voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the
Village Clerk.
