#621 04-01-74 Provide Hearing Improvement 74-SI-4Resolution No. 621 April 1, 1974 Member Bix introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 74 -SI -4 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.' 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $15,279.28 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF THE City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 25, 1974 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated May -2, 1974. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR 74 -SI -42 74 -SI -52 74 -SI -6, 74 -SI -7' NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Monday, May 6, 1974 at 7:30 P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvements, area where said improvements will be constructed and which they serve is as follows: Approximately: BITUMINOUS SURFACING 74 Street Improvement 4 - Laurel Avenue, Winnetka Avenue to Pennsylvania Ave. $15,279.28 X32, Resolution No. 621 April 1. 1974 BITUMINOUS SURFACING AND CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER 74 Street Improvement 5 - Kewanee Way $32,809.34 74 Street Improvement 6 - Maren Lane, Winnetka Avenue to Vermont Avenue $21x429.87 74 Street Improvement 7 - Vermont Avenue., Maren Lane to Golden Valley Road $ 8,940.25 Inconducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement., the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429., Minnesota Laws of 1969 as amended. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is pro- posed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property right-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets,0 lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements., if any there be.
