#743 02-03-75 County Ditch 18, Scott Avenue Storm Sewers_ 4 Resolution No. 743 February 3, 1975 Member Anderson introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (County Ditch 18, Scott Avenue Storm Sewer) WHEREAS, there is a long history of inadequacy and flooding of areas tributory to County Ditch 18, Branch F, and WHEREAS, studies indicate a need for a storm sewer along Highway 100 from 34th Avenue South to Bassett's Creek, referred to as the Scott Avenue Storm Sewer, and WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Highway Department has designed such storm sewer and the Bassett's Creek Flood Control Commission has recommended construction and allocation of costs between the communities of Crystal, Golden Valley, Robbinsdale and the State Highway Department; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Golden Valley request the com- munities of Robbinsdale and Crystal to enter into a joint agreement for construction of the Scott Avenue Storm Sewer, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Golden Valley agrees to assume 24% of the total construction cost, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if a three-way agreement is written be- tween Crystal, Golden Valley and Robbinsdale, then Golden Valley will agree to be the agency to enter into a joint agreement with the Minnesota Highway Department to accomplish said construction; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Golden Valley City Council respect- fully urge the City Councils of Crystal and Robbinsdale to take expeditious action to aid in solution of the present flooding problem. Mayor-� Attest: Deputy City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Hoover and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof, with the stipulation that it come up on the Agenda of the second meeting in March: Anderson, Bix, Moberg, Hoover and Riggs; the follow- ing voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
