Member Anderson introduced and read the following resolution and MOVED its
Adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Authorizing acquisition of pertain
property by purchase - Coyne property)
WHEREAS, it appears that it is necessary and desirable to acquire
the real estate hereinafter described for park, drainage, and open space
purposes and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of said real estate through direct pur-
chase appears to be desirable and reasonable, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley
that certain real estate described below be acquired by purchase and that
he ayor the C t 1 k, th Cit ana r, and the City Attorney are all

the acquisition of said real estate, described as follows, to -wit:
That part of the east 342.2 feet of the
west 684.4 feet of Government Lot 2 ly-
ing south and west of Glenway Slopes,
4th Addition, Section 4, Township 117,
Range 21.
Also Lot 2, Block 1, Glenway Slopes
4th Addition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that acting for and on behalf of the
City, the various city officials referred to above, are hereby authorized
to pay for such property a total cash sum of $20,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the acquisition of the above des-
cribed land is necessary and desirable and the purposes aforesaid for which
said lands are to be acquired are a proper and necessary public purpose.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by
member Hoover, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Anderson, Bix, Hoover, Moberg and Riggs; and the following
voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the
Clerk.
