Resolution No. 812 September 15, 1975
Member Anderson introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Authorizing agreement between the State of Minnesota
and the City of Golden Valley for the construction of
certain storm sewer facilities on cost sharing basis)
WHEREAS, the Department of Highways for the State of
Minnesota has prepared and presented to the City of Golden Valley a
proposed cooperative construction agreement for the reconstruction and
extension of certain catch basin structures within and adjacent to
trunk highway no. 12 in the vicinity of the bridge carrying the
Minneapolis Northfield and Southern Railway Tracks over the trunk
highway, which proposed agreement further provides for the construction
of a storm sewer outfall line extending from the city's presently
constructed manhole structure in the aforesaid geographic area, all
as more particularly shown on the State Highway Department plans,
specifications and special provisions designated as State Project
No. 2714-104 (TH 10-10); and
WHEREAS, it appears in the best interest of the City of
Golden Valley that the city enter into said cooperative construction
agreement with the State of Minnesota Highway Department as aforesaid;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED that the City enter into an agreement with
the State of Minnesota, Department of Highways for the following
purposes, to -wit: to provide for payment by the City to the State of
a,50 percent cost share of storm sewer outfall line facilities
extension and related drainage facilities construction by the State,
under contract, from an existing City constructed manhole structure
and thence northerly adjacent to the west side of the Minneapolis,
Northfield and Southern Railway right of way to the end of the drainage
ditch outlet into a stream approximately 0.40 of a mile north of Truck
Highway No. 12. Said state project construction will be performed
in accordance with State plans, specifications and special provisions
designated as State Project No. 2714-104 (T.H. 12=10).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Cit Ma ager be
and they hereby are authorized to execute such agreem t. (Cooperative

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded
by member Swartz and upon vote being taken thereof the following voted
in favor thereof: Anderson, Hoover, Swartz and Thorsen, and the
following voted against the same: None, Member Bix obstained,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
