#020 04-05-76 Authorize Conveyance Tax Forfeited LandResolution No. 20 April 5, 1976 Member Anderson introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR CONVEYANCE OF TAX FORFEITED LAND WHEREAS, it appears that certain parcel of land have been forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes, and said parcel are needed by the City of Golden Valley for park purposes and street purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that the Mayor and City Clerk be hereby authorized to make appli- cation to the County Board of Hennepin County and the State Tax Commissioner for the conveyance of the following described parcel of tax forfeited land to the City of Golden Valley for park, utility and street purposes: Commencing at the Northwest corner of the NW 1/4 of SW 1/4, thence South 618 ft thence North 83 degrees 41 minutes East 335 58/100 ft to the Actual point of beginning of land to be described thence continuing North 83 degrees 41 minutes East 136 42/100 ft, thence North 2 degrees 04 minutes West to center line of Watertown Road, thence Westerly along said center line to a line running North 2 degrees, 04 minutes West from point of beginning, thence South to beginning, except road, except State Highway. Mayor Attest: City C! erk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Hoover, Johnson, Swartz and Thorsen, and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk. 1
