Member Swartz introduced and read the following written resolution and
MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Street Vacation in Ring's Colonial Addition)
WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified
in a notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has
heard all interested persons, and it appearing that in the interest of the
public that a portion of Maryland Avenue South in Ring's Colonial Addition
be vacated, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley
that said portion of said public street lying within the corporate limits of
said City as described below, as the same is now laid out and dedicated within
the said limits of the said City, be, and the same now is hereby vacated:
That part of Maryland Avenue South as platted in RING'S COLONIAL
SECOND ADDITION lying southerly of the following described
line:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2, said RING'S
COLONIAL SECOND ADDITION thence easterly along the north line
of said Lot 1 a distance of 89.49 feet; thence northeasterly
210.32 feet along a tangential curve conca to the north
having a radius of 837.38 feet and a ce r angle of 14 degrees
23 minutes 27 seconds and there/ termi ti g.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
seconded by Member Thorsen and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Hoover, Johnson, Swartz and Thorsen and
the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the City Clerk.
