#086 10-05-76 Adopt Budget and Tax Levy957 Resolution No. 86 October 5, 1976 Member Swartz introduced the following.resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (Adopting a Budget for 1977 and Establishing the City Property Tax Levy for 1976 Collectible in 1977) WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 412.701 and 412.711, the City Manager has prepared the estimates for the annual budget for the year 1977 and has presented such estimates to the Council for their consideration, and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed such estimates and made certain revisions thereto, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: are made: 1. That the City Clerk is directed to advise the Hennepin County Auditor that the City of Golden Valley requests the Auditor to raise the sum of $1,925,659 through ad valorem property taxes collectible in 1977 for general purposes and to further advise the Auditor that the above sum includes the necessary levy for Public Employees Retire— ment Association and that the per capita excise tax monies have been taken into consideration and have not been included in the amount requested. 3. That the City Manager is authorized dire'(/ted to enforce all provision of said budget. ATTEST: Robert R. Hoover, Mayor Mary W. Marske, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Hoover, Johnson, Swartz and Thorsen and the following voted against the same: none, where— upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
