#007 03-07-77 Adopt Comprehensive Municipal PlanResolution No. 7 March 7, 1977 Member Anderson introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (Adopting a Comprehensive Municipal Plan for the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota) WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Golden Valley in recog- nization of the need for a plan to guide the growth of the City has heretofore authorized the expenditure of funds for the preparation of a Comprehensive Municipal Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission for the City of Golden Valley has heretofore adopted a Comprehensive Municipal Plan for the City of Golden Valley, following extensive information meetings and public hearings respecting the same over a period of more than five years; WHEREAS, a duly certified copy of the original Comprehensive Municipal Plan as adopted by the Planning Commission for the City of Golden Valley on March 21, 1973, was forwarded to this Council by the Director of Planning and Inspection for the City of Golden Valley on August 6, 1973; and WHEREAS, a duly certified copy of a revised Comprehensive Municipal Plan as adopted by the Planning Commission for the City of Golden Valley on September 22, 1975, was also forwarded to this Council by the Director of Planning and Inspection for the City of Golden Valley on November 6, 1975; WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore, pursuant to duly published notice thereof, held public hearings with respect to said proposed Comprehensive Municipal Plan and has continued said public hearing from time to time to the date hereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, is now in a position to take final action on said Plan; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, that it hereby adopts a Comprehensive Municipal Plan for the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, dated as of the date eof, March 7, 1977, in accordance with and to the extent of that ce ai Com rehensive Municipal Plan attached hereto and made a part here as x7b1t "A". Attest: Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Hoover, Swartz and Thorsen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was de- clared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attest- ed by the City Clerk. 1
