#050 07-05-77 Authorize Conveyance Tax Forfeited LandResolution No. 50 July 5, 1977 Member Swartz introduced the following resolution and Moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR CONVEYANCE OF TAX FORFEITED LAND WHEREAS, it appears that certain parcels of land have been forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes, and said parcels are needed by the City of Golden Valley for park purposes and ponding purposes, said lands presently being used for park purposes and ponding purposes, and have been used for several years: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that the Mayor and City Clerk be hereby authorized to make application to the County Board of Hennepin County and the State Tax Commissioner for the conveyance of the following described parcel of tax forfeited land to the City of Golden Valley for park purposes and ponding purposes: That part of N 74 25/100 ft. of S 98 25/100 ft. of E 1/2 of Lot 13 lying W of E 515 1/10 ft. thereof, Yale Garden Homes A tion; Plat #87410, Parcel #5643, Dist.28. Robert R. Hoover,Mayor ATTEST: John MurphCity Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Anderson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Hoover, Swartz and Thorsen and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
