#075 08-15-77 Request Delay Planning Grant1 Resolution No. 75 August 15, 1977 Member Thorsen introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION • (Requesting a Delay in Planning Grant) WHEREAS, the Legislature has made available certain monies to assist Communities in meeting the requirements of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, and; WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has required a detailed planning budget to be submitted along with the application for said monies within 120 days of receipt of the Metropolitan System Statement, and; WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has determined to challenge a part of the Metropolitan Systems Statement relating to 1-394, and; WHEREAS, inclusion of said part would create significant additional work and result in substantial additional cost by the City in meeting the requirements of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, and; WHEREAS, the City is unable to develop accurate cost estimates until the challenged part is decided, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF GOLDEN VALLEY, requests an extension to a time 30 days after final resolution by both the City of Golden Valley and the Metropolitan Council of the conflict over the Metropolitan Systems Statement, to submit its applicio for monies made available by the Legislature to assist communities in meet in th req ments of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act. Hoover, Mayor ATTEST: John Murphy, Clty Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Hoover, Johnson, Swartz and Thorsen and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
