#032 05-15-78 Restrict Liquor Brookview Golf CourseResolution No. 32 . May 15, 1978 Member Thorsen introduced and read the written resolution and moved its adoption; RESOLUTION (Establishing Restrictions or Controls for Consumption of Liquor at the Brookview Community Center and Golf Course) WHEREAS, The Golden Valley City Council has passed Ordinance No. 471 which permits liquor to be consumed at the Brookview Community Center and Golf Course, and WHEREAS, said Ordinance allows the Council to establish policies, restrictions and controls on the consumption of liquor at the Brookview Community Center and Golf Course, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council for the City of Golden Valley hereby establishes the following policies, restrictions and controls on the consumption of liquor at the Brookview Community Center and Golf Course and directs that the rules and regulations promulgated hereby shall be promin- ently posted on said premises incorporating the following: 1. Intoxicating liquor may only be consumed at the following locations: A. Interior of the Community Center Building - only in the upper level of the building excluding the Parks and Recreation offices. B. Exterior and Golf Course Area - only the patio on the south side of the Community Center Building adjacent to the ballroom. 2. Intoxicating liquor may only be consumed in the upper level of the Community Center Building if a permit has been obtained from the Director of Parks and Recreation as provided for below. 3. Intoxicating liquor may only be consumed in the patio area if a permit has been obtained for use of the upper level of the Community Center. When the upper level of the Community Center is not in use, then the patio area may be designated by the Director of Parks and Recreation for open consumption in accordance with procedures established by the Director. 4. No intoxicating liquor shall at any time be either bartered or sold in the Community Center Building or on the Golf Course Area. 5. A schedule of fees to cover the costs of the City providing super- vision, administration and maintenance and including a security deposit shall be prepared by the Parks and Recreation Director and approved by the City Council. 1
