#043 06-05-78 Provide Hearing Improvement 78-SS-5Resolution #43 June 5, 1978 S/ Member Johnson introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 78 SS 5 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the propsoed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $47,851.55 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in NORTH HENNEPIN POST, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 6th, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated July 13th. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 78 SS 5 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the Citv of Golden -Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Monday, July 17, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the -purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improve- ment will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: 78 Storm Sewer 5 - Generally all that property lying South of T.H. 12, West of the East Corporate limits (France Ave.), North of the South Corporate limits (Douglas Ave) and East of June Ave. S. and that property abutting Tyrol Crest, more specifically described as follows: Lots 1 thru 11, Block 1, Kennedy's South Tyrol Hills; All of block 1, including vacated streets, all of Block 2 & 3, All of Block 4, except Lots Resolution #43 con't except Lots 17 thru 22, All of Block 6, including vacated streets, and all of Block 7, including vacated streets; and also, Lot A and Lot B, all in Tyrol Hills. ESTIMATED COST: $47,851.55 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Laws of 1969 as amended. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public ' provements, if any there be. .
