Member Thorsen introduced and read the written resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
FOR CONVEYANCE OF TAX FORFEITED LAND
WHEREAS, it appears that certain parcels of land have been forfeited
to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes, and said parcels are needed
by the City of Golden Valley for park purposes and ponding purposes, said lands
presently being used for park purposes and ponding purposes, and have been used
for several years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Golden Valley that the Mayor and City Clerk be hereby authorized to make application
to the County Board of Hennepin County and the State Tax Commissioner of the
conveyance of the following described parcel of tax forfeited land to the City
of Golden Valley for park purposes and ponding purposes:

Plat 86289 Parcel 6000 Dist. 28 - Ponding purposes
�tie3-'Commencing at a point in East line of West 1522.26 feet of
Southwest quarter dis 891.68 feet North from Southeast corner
thereof thence West at right angles 360 feet to actual point
of beginning thence Northwesterly to Southeasterly line of
Minneapolis Northern & Southern Railway along a line which is
at right angles to said right -way line thence Southwesterly
along said right -way line to Northeasterly line of Highway #100

with a line bearing South 28 degrees 17 minutes West from point
of beginning thence North 28 degrees 17 minutes East to

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Stockman and Thorsen and the following voted against
the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Mayor Pro -Tem and her signature attested Ly the City Clerk.
