#100 10-02-79 Adopt Budget and Tax LevyResolution #100 October 2, 1979 Member Thorsen introduced and read the written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION Adoption of the Budget for 1980 and Establishing the City Property Tax Levy for 1979 and Collectible in 1980 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 412.701 and 412.711, the City Manager has prepared the estimates for the annual budget for the 19ar 1980 and has presented such estimates to the Council for their consideration, and; WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed such estimates and made certain re- visions thereto; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the City Clerk is directed to advise the Hennepin County Auditor that the City of Golden Valley requests the Auditor to raise the sum of $2,260,477 through ad valorem property taxes collectible in 1980 for general purposes and to further advise the Auditor that the above sum includes the necessary levy for Public Employees Retirement Association and that per capita excise tax monies have been taken into consideration and have not been included in the amount requested. 3. That the City Manager is authorized and dire of said budget. L ATTEST: JOHN MUR Y, CITY CLERK ER, MAYOR rovisions The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Stockman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Stockman and Thorsen and the following voted against same: Hoover and Johnson, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
