Member Johnson introduced and read the written resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION
PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON
CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
RSL 100
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Volley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public im-
provements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph
4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in
a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they
should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements,
and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows:
Estimated Cost: $321.60
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof on the proposed public improvements as
described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in
NORTH HENNEPIN POST, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said pub-
lications to be in the issue of said paper dated Thursday, January lO, 1980 and
the last of said publications to be in the issue dated Thursday, January 17, 1980.
Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member
Thorsen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Hoover, Johnson, Stockman and Thorsen and the following voted against the
same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.

PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
RSL 100
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, will meet on Monday, January 21, 1980 at 7:30 P.M. at the Civic
Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City forithe purpose of holding a public
hearing on certain proposed public improvements.
The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said im-
provement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows:
RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTS 100 - Lots 1 and 2, together with the East one-half of
lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 79 8, and 9. Block 1 and the
East one-half of lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 2, all
in Golden Valley Gardens.
The North 130.56 feet of Outlot 1, Merribee Hills
3rd Addition.
Lots 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block 3 and lots 4 & 5,
Block 6, all in Noble Grove.
ESTIMATED COST: $321.60
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed im-
provement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by
Chapter 429, Minnesota Laws of 1969 as amended.
All property within the C.ity which is benefited by the improvement is proposed
to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in theabove description, in-
cluding all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines
described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way
and public property" located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines
and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines
described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to
make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there
be.
