Member Johnson introduced and read the written resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Fixing General Wages
and Salaries for 1980)
WHEREAS, the City Council has discussed at length proposed salaries and
wages for both classified and un -classified City personnel as respects the calendar
year 1980;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley that it hereby adopts the following general wages and salary schedules for
the year 1980, said schedules to commence for work performed by the personnel
named herein effective for the pay period starting December 31, 1979.

And, Be It Further Resolved That:
1) Section 4.3 of the Personnel Resolution dated January 3, 1977
is amended to add an eleventh holiday, Christmas Eve Day, December 24; provided,
when December 24 falls on a Friday, the preceeding day shall be a holiday, and
when December 24 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the preceeding Friday shall
be a holiday. Such change shall be effective for 1979.
2) Section 7.1 of the Personnel Resolution dated January 3, 1977
is amended by changing the dollar amount of the City's contribution to all
Office, Technical and Clerical employees for health and life insurance from
$72.00 per month to $80.00 per month.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Stockman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Hoover, Johnson, Stockman and Thorsen,
and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution
was delcared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the City Clerk
