#171 02-26-80 Acquire Tax Forfeit PropertyResolution #171 February 26, 1980 Member Johnson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION Relating to Acquisition of Tax Forfeit Property WHEREAS, the following described premises located in the County of Hennepin has forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes, to -wit: Lot AA, Registered Land Survey No. 30, Files of Hennepin County Registrar of Titles; Lot 44, Auditor's Subdivision No. 360. WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282, the Hennepin County Finance Division has advised City that certain parcels may be acquired by it for public use purposes pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 280.01, Sub- division 1; and WHEREAS, said parcels will be part of a contemplated Redevelopment Plan for a Park and Ride facility in connection with a public transporation service; and WHEREAS, said acquisition is for a public purpose defined by Minnesota Statutes 282.01, Subdivision 1. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, through its City Clerk, Mr. John Murphy, his successors or assigns, is hereby authorized to acquire for the public purposes set forth above, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, 282, the trancts and parcels of land described as follows, to -wit: Lot AA, Registered Land Survey No. 30, Files of Hennepin County Registrar of Titles.; Lot 44 Auditor's Subdivision No. 360. ROSEMARY N, MAYOR ATTEST: JOHN MURP , CITY CLERK The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Anderson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Johnson, and Thorsen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Clerk. 1 1
