Member Anderson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
80 LF 4
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota,
as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements
within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in a pre-
liminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should
best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has
given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows:
Estimated Cost: $51,663.37
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing
on the proposed public improvements as described therein.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member
Stockman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen and the following voted against
the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Clerk.

form.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, will meet on June 2, 1980, at 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800
Golden Valley Road in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain
proposed public improvements.
The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improve-
ment will be constructe and which it will serve is as follows:
80 Sanitary Sewer 4 - Estimated Cost $51,663.37
80 Watermain 4 - Estimated Cost $46,000.32
80 Street Improvement 9 - Estimated Cost $50,065.97
All of the described improvements will serve the residential lots within the porposed
plat of Hamman Addition.
Said residential lots lying northerly of a line hereinafter described as "Line A".
That part of the following described property:
Government Lot 2, Section 4, Township 117 North, Range 21 West of
the fifth Principal Meridian, lying East of the West 694.4 feet
thereof, EXCEPT the West 80.0 feet of the North 400.0 feet; also
the West 5 acres of Government Lot 1, Section 4, Township 117
North, Range 21 West of the fifth Principal Meridian, and Lots
4 and 5, MEADOW BROOK ACRES, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying
westerly of the right of way of Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester
and Dubuque Electric Traction Company, EXCEPT that part of said
Lots 4 and 5, lying westerly of the right of way of the Minnea-
polis, Northfield and Southern Railray, and of the West 5 acres
of said Government Lot 1 which lies within a distance of 50
feet westerly of the westerly right of way line of said Railway,
which lies northerly of "Line A" as described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the North line of said
Government Lot 2 with the East line of the West 694.4 feet of
said Government Lot 11 thence southerly along said East line a
distance of 1140.29 feet to the point of beginning of said "Line
A"; thence deflecting to the left 123 degrees 38 minutes 17
seconds a distance of 97.28 feet; thence deflecting to the left
37 degrees 13 minutes 43 seconds a distance of 213.78 feet;
thence deflecting to the right 18 degrees 59 minutes 40 seconds
a distance of 129.63 feet; thence deflecting to the right 36
degrees 25 minutes 02 seconds a distance of 251.10 feet; thence
deflecting to the left 66 degrees 19 minutes 21 seconds a dis-
tance of 112.15 feet; thence deflecting to the right 51 degrees
33 minutes 33 seconds a distance of 230.34 feet; thence deflecting
to the left 6 degrees 02 minutes 17 seconds.a distance of 135.21
feet; thence deflecting to the left 24 degrees 54 minutes 32
seconds a distance of 200.00 feet and said "Line A" there terminating.

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement,
the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429,
Minnesota Laws of 1969 as amended.
All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to
be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including
all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines des-
cribed above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and
public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and
areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the street or lines
described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to
make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any, there
be.
