Member Johnson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION
APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH MN & S RAILWAY, INC.
FOR RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNALS AT OLD WAYZATA BOULEVARD
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Golden Valley enter into an Agreement
with Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway Inc., and the Commissioner of
Transportation for the installation and maintenance of railroad crossing signals
at the intersection of Old Wayzata Boulevard with the trans of Minneapolis, North-
field and Southern Railway, Inc. in the City of Golden Valley and appointing the
Commissioner of Transportation agend for the City of Golden Valley to supervise
said project and administer available Federal Funds in accordance with Minnesota
Statute, Section 161.36 (1978). The City's share of the cost shall be 10 percent
of the total cost.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Anderson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen and the following voted against
the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Clerk.
