Member Johnson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION
ADOPTION OF THE BUDGET FOR 1981 AND ESTABLISHING THE
CITY PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR 1980 AND COLLECTIBLE IN 1981
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 412.701 and
412.711, the City Manager has prepared the estimates for the annual budget for the
year 1981 and has presented such estimate to the Council for their consideration;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed such estimates and made certain
revisions thereto;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following appropriates for 1981 expenditures are made:

2. That the City Clerk is directed to advise the Hennepin County
Aduitor that the City of Golden Valley requests the Auditor to raise the sum of
$2,643,068 through ad valorem property taxes collectible in 1981 for general
purposes and to further advise the Aduitor that the above sum includes the
necessary levy for Public Employees Retirement Association and that per capital
excise tax monies have been taken into consideration and have not been included
in the amount requested.
3. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to enforce all
provisions of said budget.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Mitchell and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen and the following voted against
the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Clerk.
