#276 11-03-80 Street Vacation Portion of Ottawa AevResolution #276 November 3, 1980 Member Johnson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION STREET VACATION - PORTION OF OTTAWA AVENUE WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has heard all interested persons, and it appearing that in the interest of the public that a portion of Ottawa Avenue be vacated, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that said portion of said public street lying within the corporate limits of said city as described below, as the same is now laid out and dedicated within the said limits of the said city, be, and the same now is hereby vacated: All that part of Ottawa Avenue North lying between the Westerly right of way line of Natchez Avenue North and the Northerly right of way line of Roanoke Road extended westerly across Ottawa Avenue North in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 19, Township 29, Range 24; subject however and reserving to the city an ease- ment for public utility purposes and the maintenance thereof, on, over and across all of said vacated street as described above. ROSEMARY MAYOR ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Mitchell and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, and Thorsen, Councilmember Stockman abstained, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Clerk. 1 ,{-7o -6 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS Residential Street Lighting - 117 Hillsboro Avenue (Napes Street to Olympia) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on December 15, 1980, at 7:30 P.M. in the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Residential Street Lighting - 117 Estimated Cost: $186.00 Hillsboro Avenue between Olympia and Naper Street Lots 17 & 18, Block 2. Lots 1 & 2, Block 3, all in the 1st Addition to Lakeview Heights. Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, Block 8. Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, Block ll. Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Block 12. All in Lakeview Heights. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed im- provement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Laws of 1969 as amended. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the street or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
