#036 05-26-81 Street Vacation Portion Wheeler BlvdResolution #36 May 26, 1981 Member Anderson introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION Street Vacation - Portion of Wheeler Blvd. WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has beard all interested persons, and it appearing in the interest of the public that a portion of Wheeler Boulevard be vacated, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that said portion of said public street lying within the corporate limits of said city as described below, as the same is now laid out and dedicated within the said limits of the said city, be, and the same now is hereby vacated: All that part of Wheeler Boulevard lying southerly of a line hereinafter described as "Line A" and northerly and easterly of a line hereinafter described as "Line B", reserving unto the City of Golden Valley, however, an easement for utility and drainage purposes over all of said Wheeler Boulevard hereby vacated as described above. "Line A" is described as commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 8, Block 6, Lakeview Heights, thence south along the east line of said Lot 8 a distance of 19.8 feet to the point of beginning of said "Line A"; thence southeasterly, deflecting to the left 48 degrees 04 minutes a distance of 50.0 feet more or less to the southeasterly right-of-way line of Wheeler Boulevard, and said "Line A" there terminating. "Line B" is described as beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 16, Block 8, Lakeview Heights; thence northwesterly to the south corner of Lot 6, Block 6, Lakeview Heights, and said "Line B" there terminating. ROSEMARY THOIi1Ni NYOR 53 54 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Clerk.
